“Espace Provence” takes part in SIAL Paris 2014 19 to 23 October 2014 - Grocery Hall 5a - Stands M 208 and P 208

Come and enjoy "Cultivating the senses with savoir-faire" with the companies in the "Espace Provence" (Provence Exhibitor Area), at SIAL Paris.

SIAL Paris 2014 marks the 50th anniversary of this legendary food exhibition. From 19 to 23 October, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Centre, over thirty companies from the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur region will be celebrating SIAL’s half-century. The companies will be together under the “Espace Provence” banner and will be looking to represent the collective dynamism of the food industry in this world-famous region. The theme of “Cultivating the senses with savoir-faire” will be illustrated in an area covering over 600 m², with cookery activities run by great chefs from Provence, tastings and a presentation of the companies’ latest innovations.

An observatory for new trends: SIAL is organized every two years. It is attended by all the leading food industry companies from Provence and worldwide and is a real showcase for future trends. The companies in the “Espace Provence” will be demonstrating the full extent of their know-how and presenting their latest innovations through a wide range of tastings offered to visitors. All these innovations will be on show on their stand in the regional pavilion’s dedicated display windows.

Enjoy the tastes of Provence with the great chefs: Provençal dishes made with outstanding products will be concocted by Provence’s great chefs, Christian ETIENNE (Restaurant Christian Etienne, Michelin-starred, in Avignon) and Dominique FRERARD (Restaurant les Trois Forts, Marseille, “Maître Cuisinier de France”) over the four days. The products of certain companies in the “Espace Provence” will be revisited by the great chefs using some bold, original recipes.

Come and try a Provençal aperitif: At aperitif time, members of the food industry and journalists are invited to come and try some Provençal specialities with a proven reputation for excellence, along with a tasting of Châteauneuf-du-Pape or Pastis.

“Espace Provence”, the PACA region’s international showcase: “Espace Provence”, the collective banner for the food industry companies in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, has been in existence for 6 years and is the biggest regional pavilion at SIAL. Supported by two regional organizations, the shared pavilion promotes Provence’s specialities and the food industry companies in the region. The “Espace Provence” banner is erected by:
- Procamex (Provence Camargue Export), an association of exporters and a partner to the Pays d’Arles Chamber of Commerce and Industry, supported by the Bouches-du-Rhône Departmental Council and the Provence Alpes Côte d’Azur CCI International.
- FRIAA, the Regional Federation of Food Industries in the Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region.

SIAL Paris 2012, the international agro-food exhibition, will take place from 21st to 25th October, at the Paris Nord Villepinte Exhibition Park. More than 40 agro-food companies from the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region will come together under the joint banner “Espace Provence”, highlighting the collective dynamism of the agro-food industry in this world-renowned region. “Cultivating the senses with savoir-faire” will be illustrated over almost 600 m² of exhibition space through a variety of activities and the presentation of the companies’ latest innovations.

Innovation at the heart of Espace Provence: Held every two years, SIAL plays host to the biggest names in the global food industry and is always an essential date in the calendar for those with a keen interest in new food products. The Espace Provence companies will demonstrate the extent of their savoir-faire and present their latest innovations to visitors through numerous tastings. All these innovations will be showcased in the regional pavilion.

Provencal culinary activities led by top chefs: Provencal dishes based around some of the exceptional products on show will be concocted by three of Provence’s renowned chefs, Christian ETIENNE (from the Michelin-starred Christian Etienne restaurant in Avignon) and Dominique FRERARD (a ‘Master Chef of France’ from Les Trois Forts restaurant in Marseille) over the first two days, as well as Jérôme LAURENT (from the Michelin-starred Le Cilantro restaurant in Arles) the following two days. These top chefs will be invited by some of the companies on the Espace Provence stand to use and enhance their products in the preparation of an array of original recipes.

A Provencal aperitif during which you will almost hear the song of the cicadas: With a pastis or Provence rosé in hand, agro-food professionals and journalists are invited for an aperitif to sample some Provencal specialities and taste for themselves exactly why the region’s reputation for excellence continues to grow.

Espace Provence, the biggest regional pavilion: Espace Provence has been supporting agro-food companies in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region for 6 years. As the biggest regional pavilion at SIAL, it is a union of three regional collective organizations:
- Procamex (Provence Camargue Export), an association of exporters and the international arm of the Arles region Chamber of Commerce and Industry,
- the FRIAA, the Regional Federation of Agro-Food Industries of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region,
- PME (Provence Méditerranée Export), an association of Provencal businesses specialised in the agro-food sector. SIAL Paris - 17 to 21 October 2010 - more than 35 companies promoting the food industry of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur (PACA) region

There will be more than 35 companies from the food sector flying the flag for Provence at the 2010 SIAL exhibition taking place in Paris from 17 to 21 October this year. United under the banner of the “Espace Provence”, they are evidence of the strength and dynamism of the food industry in the PACA region. More than 650m² of exhibition space and numerous events, all dedicated to “cultivating the senses with savoir-faire”.
